Healthy rabbits bred to ARBA standards, competing at state and national levels.
Baker Family Rabbitry is a father/daughter/daughter team dedicated to raising quality rabbits, with an eye toward state/national competition and overall improvement of our chosen breeds. Timothy first joined the ARBA in 1992, raising Dutch first then later Mini Rex and Himalayans as a youth, earning his ARBA Registrar's license in 1998. Today, Timothy raises Havana rabbits and competes for cage space in the barn with daughters Della (Himalayans) and Dorothy (Polish). The girls do most of the work in the rabbitry, Dad builds the cages, and Mom maintains that she isn't really into rabbits (but if you talk to her you'll find that she knows more about rabbit breeding and showing than she lets on).
There are currently 52 rabbit breeds recognized by the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA), and many more exist outside of ARBA sponsorship. We keep only three, and focus our efforts on breeding toward the ideals described in the ARBA Standard of Perfection: Himalayan, Polish, and Havana.
